A new 21-month Professional Aeronautics Certificate (PAC) program was launched by Madison College in partnership with Wisconsin Aviation, offering a faster and more affordable pathway to becoming a professional pilot than traditional military or four-year flight school routes. Designed for flexibility, the program allows students to balance work or other studies while earning FAA certifications, with total costs significantly lower than many competing programs and strong job prospects upon graduation. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, industry demand and an ongoing pilot shortage make the timing favorable, positioning graduates for well-paid careers in flight instruction, regional airlines, and eventually major air carriers.
