Madison College students learn to fly with new career opportunity in partnership with Wisconsin Aviation

Madison College has teamed up with Wisconsin Aviation to offer a two-year Professional Aeronautics Certification that allows students to earn both private and commercial pilot licenses, with up to 20 hours of training per week. The program combines ground school taught by the college with hands-on flight training provided by the aviation partner. Wisconsin Aviation’s president said the partnership helps address a shortage of pilots and airport workers by preparing students for careers in the airline industry. College officials also described aviation as a fun, stable, and potentially lucrative career path for students.
