Madison College has launched a new professional aeronautics training program in partnership with Wisconsin Aviation to create a direct pathway into pilot careers through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on flight training. The two-year program prepares students for FAA certifications, including private, commercial, and flight instructor licenses. College leaders say the program is designed to help address the growing pilot shortage while offering a more affordable and accessible alternative to traditional four-year aviation degrees. Students will train using modern aircraft and simulators, gaining real-world experience to prepare them for aviation careers.
