Black Hawk College launches new professional aviation certification program

Black Hawk College and Quad Cities Aero are launching the region’s first Professional Aviation Certification program to help students pursue careers as commercial pilots. The two-year accelerated program combines classroom instruction from the college with hands-on flight training provided by the aviation partner. An informational open house was scheduled at Quad Cities Aero in Moline, Illinois, to allow prospective students and families to learn about the program and aviation career opportunities. The program is expected to begin in January 2026 and is designed to provide a structured, career-focused pathway into the aviation industry.
